Caroline Buts
Biography
Caroline Buts is professor of competition policy and European economic integration at the faculty of Social Sciences and Solvay Business School of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She works on different aspects of competition policy with a focus on government support policies and on defence and peace economics. She is appointed managing editor of the ‘European State Aid Law Quarterly’. In addition, she is advisor in the Belgian’s Price Observatory and frequently advises public and private partners on competition issues. Caroline Buts is the chair and a founding member of the Brussels Centre for Competition Policy and supervises multiple PhD students and projects, in both fundamental and applied research.
